Core Field Filling Guidelines
1. Business Name
This is the field where errors occur most frequently. Carriers require this name to be the entity responsible for the content of the message.
Filling Guidelines: Use the official English name from your business license. If the license only contains Chinese, provide an English translation or Pinyin of your business name, or use the unified English name registered on overseas platforms (e.g., Amazon, Shopify).
DBA Filling: If your brand name differs from the license name, you must indicate the DBA after the Business Name.
✅ Correct Example: Shenzhen XYZ Technology Co., Ltd. (DBA: ABC)
❌ Incorrect Example: Only "ABC" or "Shenzhen XYZ Technology Co., Ltd."
Tip: Maintain name consistency across all platforms. Ensure the company name in your website, like Shopify store and TF verification are identical.
2. Business Registration Number (BRN)
The BRN is the unique identifier proving your company's legal existence.
How Chinese Companies Fill This:
Business Registration Type: Select Unified Social Credit Code (USCC).
Business Registration Number: Enter your 18-digit Unified Social Credit Code.
Note: Do not fill in personal ID numbers or passport numbers. Carriers only accept enterprise-level registration numbers.
3. Summarize the use-case
This is the core window for reviewers to understand your business. Briefly describe your SMS purpose and avoid vague terms like "alerts" or "marketing".
Filling Formula: We send [specific message type] to [target users] who [opt-in method]. Messages include [specific content examples].
✅ E-commerce Order Notification Example:
We send order confirmation, shipping updates, and post-purchase customer service notifications to customers who have opted in by checking the consent box on our online store checkout page. Messages include order status updates, tracking links, and information for after-sales support.
✅ Marketing Promotion Example:
Promotional offers and new arrival alerts to subscribers who opt-in via our website pop-up. Messages include discount codes and product links.
❌ Incorrect Examples:
Sending alerts to users.
Marketing messages.
4. Estimated Message Volume
Select the tier closest to your actual business scale. Also you should consider the messaging volume during the peak seasons. You can apply to increase the limit as your business grows.
Note: Overestimated or underestimated volume mismatched with actual samples may trigger additional review.
5. Sample content messages
Carriers require multiple real samples to verify content compliance. Each sample must include the following three elements:
1. [Business Name]: Brand name or company name
2. HELP Instructions: e.g., "Reply HELP for support"
3. OPT-OUT Information: e.g., "Reply STOP to opt out"
✅ Approved Examples (For Reference):
- New arrivals and product updates are live! Check out our latest styles on [Your Brand Name] official website. Reply HELP for support. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Hello from [Your Brand Name]. We noticed your recent order. Feel free to reach out if you need any after-sales assistance. Reply HELP for support. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Thank you for shopping with [Your Brand Name]. Your order has been shipped. Track your package via the link. Reply HELP for support. Reply STOP to opt out.
6. Opt-In Description
Briefly describe how users consent to receive SMS. If opting in online, screenshots of the Opt-in workflow are required.
Filling Formula: Customers opt in by [specific action] on our [specific location] to receive [message type], including [content examples].
✅ Standard Example:
Customers opt in by checking the consent box on our online store checkout page & contact form to receive SMS notifications, including order updates, logistics info and product news.
❌ Incorrect Examples:
Through the website.
Over the phone.
7. Call to Actions (URLs & Numbers)
To prevent links or numbers in SMS from being blocked by carriers, please report them in advance in this field.
URLs: List all domains that will appear in SMS (e.g., www.yourbrand.com). Public shorteners (e.g., bit.ly) are prohibited.
Numbers: List all phone numbers that will appear in SMS (e.g., +1 888-888-8888).
8. Corporate Email & Contact Person
Carriers verify business authenticity through contact information.
Email Requirements: Must use a corporate domain email (e.g., support@yourbrand.com).
❌ Prohibited: Public free emails such as Gmail, Yahoo, 163, QQ.
✅ Recommended: An email matching your website domain.
Contact Information: Provide real employee information responsible for compliance or operations. The Textr Team review team may contact you via this email to confirm details.
9. Corporate Website
Your independent website is the primary basis for reviewers to judge business authenticity.
Website Requirements:
- The website must be publicly accessible (no login required to browse the homepage and About Us page).
- The website footer must contain clear physical address and contact information.
- Website content should match the verified business type (e.g., e-commerce retail).
- The website should also have a privacy policy and terms of service.
Social Media Alternative: If your website is under construction, you may provide an active Facebook or Instagram profile link, but ensure the profile has complete business introduction and contact information.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Use Case Summary too short: Do not just write "Marketing". Write at least one sentence describing specific content.
- Opt-in description inconsistent with reality: Ensure the description you fill in matches the actual process on your website.
- Incorrect contact information: Use a corporate email; do not use personal Gmail or QQ emails.
Tip: If you encounter any uncertain fields during filling, it is recommended to first refer to the Business Document Preparation Guide and Message Sample Writing Guide, or contact Textr Team customer service for one-on-one guidance.
