  • Can I Use Textr Team to Get an SMS Verification Code

Can I Use Textr Team to Get an SMS Verification Code? Textr Team provides local phone numbers across 9 countries and regions designed for business calling and texting. Text Team can receive messages including verification codes, but whether a verification code reaches your Textr Team number depends entirely on the sender's system, the mobile device and the network. There is no way to guarantee delivery. We do not recommend relying on Textr Team for receiving SMS verification codes. For a detailed troubleshooting guide and alternative solutions, see:  I'm not Receiving Verification Codes on Textr Team Key Points Textr Team is designed for outbound business communication. Regular SMS works normally. The limitation applies only to verification codes from certain platforms. Need a Number for Verification Codes? Try Textr Go If you need a phone number primarily for receiving SMS verification codes or two-factor authentication (2FA), we recommend  Textr Go . Textr Go has a dedicated Verification & 2FA feature that lets you try different numbers until you successfully receive your code. You are only charged once the code arrives. After confirming a number works for your needs, you can subscribe to it as your dedicated number. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Email us at  team.support@textrapp.com . Frequently Asked Questions  Q1: Can I use my Textr Team number to verify my Amazon account? +  You can try Textr Go for Amazon verification.  Q2: Will I lose access to my accounts if I use a Textr Team number for verification? +  You can exclusively subscribe and keep a phone number in Textr Team. However, we advise against using Textr Team as your only verification method. If a service later updates its verification policy, you may lose access to future verification codes. Always set up a backup verification method (email, authenticator app, or physical SIM).  Q3: Is Textr Go free to use for receiving verification codes? +  Textr Go is a separate product with its own pricing, from 0.5 coin for first verification code. • TCR FAQs: General, Brand and Campaign Registration

This page answers frequently asked questions about The Campaign Registry (TCR) registration through Textr Team. Questions are organized into three sections: General, Brand Registration, and Campaign Registration. General FAQs  1. Can I send bulk messages without registering with TCR? +  No. You must complete both brand registration and campaign registration with The Campaign Registry (TCR) through Textr Team before sending bulk messages. You can only start sending after both are verified.  2. Can I delete my brand or campaign from TCR? +  Yes. You can delete a registered brand or deactivate a campaign three months after registration. However, deletion is permanent. Once deleted, all information is removed from your Textr Team account, TCR, and mobile carriers. If you have concerns, contact our support team before taking action.  3. How much does TCR registration cost? +  Brand registration: $4 - 4.5 one-time fee (charged by TCR, non-refundable. You can pay through your Textr Team account with no additional handling fees) Sole Proprietor campaign: $2.00/month Low Volume Mixed campaign: $1.50/month Standard campaign: $10.00/month For detailed fee breakdowns, see How Much Does TCR Registration Cost.  4. Who should I contact if I have further questions about TCR? +  Contact the Textr Team support team at team.support@textrapp.com. We can help with registration material preparation, rejection troubleshooting, and general TCR guidance. Brand Registration FAQs  1. Which legal form should I choose? +  Choose the legal form that matches your official business documentation: Legal FormDescriptionKey Requirement Sole Proprietor Individual sellers without an EIN/Tax ID Billing address only (Address and contact information must be located within the United States or Canada). Limitations: 1. Only 1 campaign registration allowed, with a maximum of 5 phone numbers. 2. Volume limits: T-Mobile 1,000 messages/day; AT&T 15 messages/minute Private Company Owned by founders, management, or private investors EIN/Tax ID required Public Company Publicly traded company listed via IPO EIN/Tax ID, stock symbol, and stock exchange required Non-Profit Organization Registered charity (with 501(c)(3) documentation) Eligible for reduced carrier fees. Limited to "Charity" use cases only, and must select 2–5 specific sub-use cases Government Government entities Government documentation required  2. How do I ensure I enter the correct Tax ID? +  The Tax ID is critical for TCR to verify your business identity. Requirements differ by country: United States: Enter your 9-digit EIN (Employer Identification Number) issued by the IRS. Your legal company name and address must exactly match your IRS registration. Canada: Enter your Canadian Corporation Number (federal or provincial). Do NOT enter your business number or federal tax ID. Other regions (Europe, APAC, Middle East, etc.): Enter the numeric part of your VAT ID. If your country is not in the automatic matching list, provide your primary company registration number or tax ID. The following countries/regions support automatic VAT ID matching: Country/RegionCodeCountry/RegionCode Croatia HR Hungary HU Ireland IE Italy IT Lithuania LT Luxembourg LU Latvia LV Malta MT Netherlands NL Norway NO Poland PL Portugal PT Romania RO Sweden SE Slovenia SI Slovakia SK Northern Ireland XI United Arab Emirates AE Australia AU Belarus BY Chile CL Iceland IS Malaysia MY New Zealand NZ Saudi Arabia SA Singapore SG Taiwan TW Tip: Use your US entity's EIN if you registered a US company. If you are registering through the foreign-based business process, see TCR Registration Guide for Overseas Businesses.   3. What are DUNS, GIIN, and LEI? Do I need them? +  These are optional alternative business identifiers: DUNS Number: A 9-digit identifier assigned by Dun & Bradstreet. Particularly useful for identifying non-US brands. GIIN: Global Intermediary Identification Number (19 characters), assigned by the FATCA registration system to financial institutions and their direct non-financial subsidiaries. LEI: Legal Entity Identifier (20 characters), assigned by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to legal entities in financial transactions. These are not required, but providing any of these identifiers can help TCR identify and verify your brand more quickly. The DUNS Number is especially important for identifying non-US brands.  4. Who should I list as the brand contact? +  When registering a brand, TCR requires you to provide contact information for that brand. This is so carriers and TCR can reach out for troubleshooting and communication if any issues arise. Enter the correct contact details of the person who operates the brand.  5. What should I do if my brand needs a high-volume use case? +  Volume is determined by who is sending the messages (brand) and what is being sent (use case and vertical). To get higher volume, the best approach is to complete brand vetting, select the appropriate use case, and provide a detailed campaign description. For help with Brand Vetting, contact the Textr support team.  6. How does Brand Vetting work? +  Brand Vetting is an in-depth background check conducted by TCR's third-party partners to help brands pass compliance verification. For businesses that lack complete English business documentation (such as Chinese companies), this vetting can assist with background verification through thorough investigation, helping them successfully obtain bulk messaging eligibility. Here are the details: Vetting score (0–100): The vetting returns a score between 0 and 100, which directly determines your carrier tier and available use cases. Mandatory scenarios: In addition to voluntary applications for improved credibility, if your SMS business involves "special use cases", such as political, social, sweepstakes, or charity campaigns. Some carriers require this external vetting before you can send messages. Fees: Charged by the third-party partner. For Standard Brand Vetting, $41.5 for a successful vet; $5 for an unsuccessful vet or no score. This fee is separate from the $4/$4.5 TCR brand registration fee. Learn more about vetting fees, see How Much Does TCR Registration Cost. If you need Brand Vetting, email team.support@textrapp.com to contact the Textr support team to submit your application.  7. Why is my brand showing "Unverified" status? +  TCR automatically validates your EIN, legal company name, and address against third-party data sources. If any information does not match, your brand receives "Unverified" status. Unverified brands cannot proceed to the next step: campaign registration. Your brand must reach "Verified" status to register 10DLC campaigns. If your brand has not passed verification, try the following: Resubmit from the "Brand Details" page in your Textr Team portal. A $4 or $4.5 resubmission fee applies (The fee depends on your legal form). Apply for external Brand Vetting. Passing the vetting completes verification. Fees are charged by TCR's external partner. Tip: Contact Textr Team Support for assistance with external Brand Vetting. You will need to provide additional supporting documents, such as copies of your business license or invoices.  For both options, make sure the brand information you submit (name spelling, address format, EIN, etc.) is accurate and up to date.  8. Can I update my brand information after submission? +  Yes. In your Textr Team account, go to Register SMS Campaign > Local Numbers and find your registered brand: If your brand is "Unverified," correct the information and resubmit. A $4/$4.5 resubmission fee applies. If your brand is "Verified," you can still update details like address and contact information, but the same $4/$4.5 fee applies. Note: If your brand is already verified, update with caution. Resubmitting incorrect information may cause your brand to fail verification, which would prevent you from sending bulk messages.   9. I registered my brand with another messaging partner. Do I need to register again with Textr Team? +  Yes. To send bulk messages through Textr Team, you must complete both brand registration and campaign registration with TCR through your Textr Team account. Only after registering through your Textr Team account can you assign Textr Team phone numbers and send bulk messages. Campaign Registration FAQs  1. How does message volume affect campaign use cases? (Low Volume Mixed vs. Standard) +  The Campaign Registry (TCR) categorizes your campaign use case as Standard or Low Volume based on your estimated monthly message volume. You can choose based on your actual needs during registration. TypeMonthly VolumeUse Cases Low Volume Mixed Less than 15,000 messages Multiple use cases in one campaign Standard 15,000+ messages Single or multiple use cases Low Volume Mixed is suitable for small businesses with modest messaging needs (small clinics, family shops, etc.) or test accounts. Standard campaigns offer higher throughput.  2. What is the difference between mixed-use case and single-use case campaigns? +  Mixed-use case: One campaign covers multiple purposes (e.g., customer care + 2FA + delivery notifications). The downside is that non-compliant messages on one use case can suspend the entire campaign, and higher carrier surcharges may apply. Single-use case (dedicated): Each use case gets its own campaign. The advantage is that use cases do not affect each other, with better SMS throughput and carrier surcharge rates. However, the overall TCR monthly fees may increase.  3. What should I write in the campaign description? +  Provide a detailed campaign description and include at least 1 sample message that reflects what your customers will actually receive. Your sample messages must match the use case you selected. Example for an order notification campaign: Hi [Customer Name], your order #[Order Number] has shipped. Track your package: [Tracking URL]. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out. Note: This information will be displayed in 10DLC-related systems, and mobile carriers will review it for compliance. Please provide accurate examples of the messages you will actually send.   4. What are campaign content attributes? +  During the TCR campaign registration process, you will need to select which content attributes apply to your campaign. Some attributes may require you to provide specific information. AttributeDescriptionRequired? Subscriber Opt-In Whether you collect consumer opt-ins Yes Subscriber Opt-Out Whether you process consumer opt-outs Yes Subscriber Help Whether you respond to the HELP keyword Yes Terms & Conditions Confirm that this campaign will not be used for Affiliate Marketing Yes Number Pooling If you need to assign more than 50 numbers to this campaign. This attribute requires a different configuration process on T-Mobile If applicable Direct Lending or Loan Arrangement Contains content related to direct lending or other loan arrangements If applicable Embedded Link Messages contain links (public URL shorteners such as bit.ly and tinyurl are prohibited) If applicable Embedded Phone Number Messages contain phone numbers (except for the HELP contact number) If applicable Age-Gated Content Whether your content includes any age-restricted content as defined by carrier and CTIA guidelines If applicable  5. Why do certain special use cases require carrier approval? +  Special use cases involve sensitive and important content, so they may require mobile carrier approval before or after registration. Brands registering special use cases for bulk messaging campaigns may need to complete external Brand Vetting or obtain mobile carrier approval.  6. What should I do if my campaign gets rejected? +  Review the rejection code, fix the specific issue, and resubmit. Most rejections are fixable. For code-by-code guidance, see TCR Campaign Registration Rejection Codes and Solutions. Alternatively, you can deactivate the rejected campaign and register a new one with a more suitable use case and detailed information.  7. How many campaigns can I register under one brand? +  It depends on your brand's legal form. For example, Sole Proprietor brands are limited to 1 campaign with a maximum of 5 phone numbers.  8. How do I assign phone numbers to my campaign? +  After your campaign is approved, go to the Campaign Registration page in your Textr Team dashboard and click "+Assign" to assign your subscribed numbers. Note: Only Textr Team phone numbers can be assigned. You cannot assign numbers until the campaign is approved.   9. How many phone numbers can I assign to a campaign? +  The number of phone numbers you can assign depends on your brand's legal form: Sole Proprietor: Maximum 5 numbers per campaign Other business types: Maximum 50 numbers per campaign Tip: If you need to assign more than 50 numbers to a campaign, select "Number Pooling" under "Campaign and Content Attributes" when registering your TCR campaign.  Frequently Asked Questions About This Guide  Q1: Do I need TCR registration if I only send to non-US numbers? +  TCR registration is required for messages sent to US and Canada numbers. If you only send messages to recipients in other countries (e.g., UK, Australia, Mexico), TCR registration may not be required. Contact our support team to confirm your specific situation.  Q2: How long does the entire registration process take? +  Brand registration typically takes 1-3 business days. Campaign registration takes 3-7 business days. The total timeline from start to sending your first campaign is usually about one week, assuming no rejections. Click here to learn more about the TCR Ultimate Guide.  Q3: Can I use the same campaign for both SMS and voice calls? +  TCR registration only applies to SMS/MMS messaging. Voice calls do not require TCR registration. However, you can use the same Textr Team phone number for both calling and texting. Learn more in Start Calling.
